SIX MORAVIAN FOOTBALL PLAYERS RANKED IN
NCAA DIVISION III STATISTICS
BETHLEHEM, PA --- The Moravian College football team has six student-athletes
ranked in the NCAA Division III statistical rankings through games
of September 16th, and the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 50 in
three categories.
Sophomore wide receiver Tyler Hersch (Macungie, PA/Emmaus
HS) is third nation in kickoff return average with a 37.8
yard average on four returns. Sophomore kicker Brian Reckenbeil
(Branchburg, PA/Somerville HS) is tied for third in field
goals per game at 2.0.
Senior linebacker Cliff Garr (Easton, PA/Notre Dame HS)
is tied for fourth in the nation in forced fumbles at 1.0
per game while senior defensive end Nick Feo (Hampton, NJ/Voorhees
HS), freshman defensive back Brad Bodine (Mt. Bethel,
PA/Bangor HS) and sophomore linebacker Kevin McGorry
(Whitehall, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) are tied
for 35th at 0.5 forced fumble per game.
Moravian is 21st in the country in kickoff returns with an average
of 27.22 yards per return and the Greyhounds are tied for 45th in
the nation in turnover margin at +1.0 as the Greyhounds have forced
five turnovers and one committed three this season. Moravian is
also 45th in net punting at 33.14 yards per punt.
The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, September 23rd
in a Middle Atlantic Conference game at Juniata College. Kickoff
is slated for 1:30 p.m. at Knox Stadium.
