MORAVIAN’S KEVIN McGORRY EARNS ECAC
HONORS
CAPE
COD, MA --- Sophomore linebacker Kevin McGorry (Whitehall,
PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) of the Moravian College
football team earned honorable mention honors from the Eastern College
Athletic Conference for his performance in Moravian’s 28-23
loss to King’s College on Saturday.
McGorry, who was named the Middle Atlantic Conference
Defensive Player of the Week, led the Moravian defense with 17 tackles,
including four solo stops, a half tackle for loss, a forced fumble
and an interception with a 25-yard return to stop King’s first
drive of the game in his first collegiate start at middle linebacker
for the Greyhounds. McGorry’s 17 tackles
are tied for the sixth most in a single game in school history.
Moravian will return to action on Saturday, September 23rd in
an MAC game at Juniata College at 1:30 p.m. in Huntingdon.
