CONFERENCE WOMEN’S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ANNVILLE,
PA --- Senior midfielder/forward Kristina Adams (Belle Mead,
NJ/Montgomery HS) of the Moravian College women’s
soccer team has been named the Commonwealth Conference Women’s
Soccer Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks for
her performance last week.
Adams, who earned Commonwealth Player of the
Week honors back on September 11th, helped the Greyhounds to a 1-1
record last week including setting a pair of school records in a
4-0 victory at Widener University. Adams, Moravian’s
leading scorer, was held scoreless in a 2-1 loss at Albright to
begin the 2006 Commonwealth Conference season. She then scored a
school record four goals for eight points, another school record,
in a 4-0 win at Widener University. Both records that Adams
broke were previously held by Carli Miller. Moravian’s
final match of the week at St. Mary’s College of Maryland
was postponed due to weather.
The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, September 30th
in a Commonwealth Conference match versus Juniata College beginning
at 3:00 p.m.
