FOUR MORAVIAN FOOTBALL PLAYERS RANKED IN
NCAA DIVISION III STATISTICS
INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College football team has four
student-athletes ranked in the NCAA Division III statistical rankings
through games of September 23rd, and the Greyhounds are ranked in
the top 50 in one team category.
Sophomore wide receiver Tyler Hersch (Macungie, PA/Emmaus
HS) is third nation in kickoff return average with a 37.8
yard average on four returns. Sophomore kicker Brian Reckenbeil
(Branchburg, PA/Somerville HS) is tied for seventh in field
goals per game at 1.33.
Senior linebacker Cliff Garr (Easton, PA/Notre Dame HS)
is tied for 21st in the nation in forced fumbles at 0.67 per game
while freshman defensive back Brad Bodine (Mt. Bethel, PA/Bangor
HS) is tied for 21st in solo tackles per game with 7.0.
Moravian is 22nd in the country in kickoff returns with an average
of 26.17 yards per return.
The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, September 30th
in a Middle Atlantic Conference game versus Widener University.
Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m. at Rocco Calvo Field.
