THREE MORAVIAN FOOTBALL PLAYERS RANKED
IN NCAA DIVISION III STATISTICS
INDIANAPOLIS,
IN --- The Moravian College football team has three student-athletes
ranked in the NCAA Division III statistical rankings through games
of October 7th, and the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 50 in one
team category.
Sophomore
kicker Brian Reckenbeil (Branchburg, PA/Somerville HS),
pictured at right, is tied for 20th in field goals per game at 1.00.
Sophomore linebacker Andrew Morrissey (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus
HS), pictured at left, is tied for 18th
in the country in forced fumbles per game at 0.50 while senior linebacker
Cliff Garr (Easton, PA/Notre Dame HS), pictured
at bottom right, is tied for 30th 0.40 forced fumbles
per contest.
Moravian is 36th in the country in kickoff returns with an average
of 23.23 yards per return.
The
Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, October 14th in a
Middle Atlantic Conference game versus FDU-Florham. Kickoff is slated
for 1:00 p.m. at Rocco Calvo Field in Bethlehem as Moravian hosts
its annual Homecoming game.
