TWO MORAVIAN FOOTBALL PLAYERS RANKED IN
NCAA DIVISION III STATISTICS
INDIANAPOLIS,
IN --- The Moravian College football team has two student-athletes
ranked in the NCAA Division III statistical rankings through games
of November 11th, and the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 50 in
one team category.
Sophomore kicker Brian Reckenbeil (Branchburg, PA/Somerville
HS), pictured at right, is tied for 39th in field goals
per game at 0.8. Sophomore linebacker Andrew Morrissey (Emmaus,
PA/Emmaus HS) is tied for 17th in the country in forced
fumbles per game at 0.33.
Moravian
is 25th in the country in kickoff returns with an average of 21.98
yards per return.
The Greyhounds completed the 2006 season with a 4-6 record, and
the team was 4-5 in its final season as a member of the Middle Atlantic
Conference. Moravian will become an associate member of the Centennial
Conference for football only in 2007.
