MORAVIAN'S DANA HASLETT & ANNA HEIM
NAMED ECAC DIVISION III TRACK & FIELD ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

COD, MA --- Freshmen Dana Haslett (Sellersville, PA/Pennridge
HS) and Anna Heim (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown HS)
of the Moravian College women’s outdoor track&
field team have been named the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference
Division III Female Track and Field Athletes of the Week for their
performances last week.
Haslett, pictured at right, won a pair of events
at the non-scoring 2007 Lehigh Valley Championships, capturing the
100-meter dash in 21.55 seconds and winning the 200-meter dash in
25.71 seconds. Haslett was also part of Moravian’s
4x100-meter relay squad that won in an NCAA Division III provisional
qualifying time of 48.80 seconds. The meet, which was run in the
rain, last Friday, was Moravian’s first of the outdoor season.
Heim,
pictured at left, tied the school record while winning the pole
vault at the non-scoring 2007 Lehigh Valley Championships at a height
of 3.20 meters (ten feet, six inches). Heim took
fourth in the long jump at 5.07 meters (16 feet, 7 3/4 inches).
Heim was also second in the 400-meter hurdles in
1:08.26, and she placed 11th in the 100-meter hurdles in 17.69 seconds.
Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, March 31st
at the Rider University-Lafayette College 6-way meet being run at
East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania.
