TWO MORAVIAN BASEBALL PLAYERS RANKED IN
FIRST NCAA STATISTICS RELEASE
INDIANAPOLIS,
IN --- The Moravian College baseball team has a pair of players
ranked in the first 2007 NCAA Division III baseball statistical
ranking released Wednesday.
Sophomore outfielder Joseph Durso (Middletown, NJ/Christian
Brother Academy HS) is ranked 25th in the nation in doubles
per game with an average of 0.55. Durso, pictured
at right, has 12 doubles in 22 games this season.
Senior
shortstop Pete Moore (Bogota, NJ/Bogota HS) is
listed 37th in the nation in slugging percentage with a .738 slugging
percentage this spring. Moore, who is hitting .417
with 35 hits in 84 at-bats, has seven doubles, four triples and
four home runs for 62 total bases this season.
Moravian is 7-15 on the season and 4-8 in Commonwealth Conference
action. The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Friday,
April 13th in a Commonwealth Conference game versus Lebanon Valley
College beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Gillespie Field.
