MORAVIAN'S JOSH HUNTER NAMED COMMONWEALTH CONFERENCE BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK

ANNVILLE, PA --- Senior pitcher Josh Hunter (Palmerton, PA/Palmerton HS) of the Moravian College baseball team has been named the Commonwealth Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for his performances last week.

Moravian posted a 4-1 record in its final week of the season last week to finish 16-20 overall and 9-12 in the squad’s final Commonwealth Conference season. The 16 wins under first-year head coach Paul Engelhardt are the most since a 19-15 season back in 1997.

Hunter tossed a nine-inning shutout to earn a 5-0 victory over Elizabethtown College in his only action last week to close out the 2007 season. It was the first shutout and complete game of Hunter’s collegiate career in his final career game. Hunter allowed just three hits and two walks while striking out a career high six batters in the victory. Hunter finished the season at 2-1.

Moravian has completed its 2007 schedule.
