MORAVIAN MEN’S LACROSSE TEAM &
SENIOR T.J. HIRSCH RANKED IN FINAL 2007 NCAA STATISTICS RELEASE
INDIANAPOLIS,
IN --- The Moravian College men’s lacrosse team is ranked
in one team category and one player is ranked in the final 2007
NCAA III Division men’s lacrosse statistical ranking released
Thursday.
Senior midfielder T.J. Hirsch (Putnum Valley, NY/Walter
Panas HS) finished the season fourth the nation in ground
balls per game with an average of 9.06, and Hirsch
was also ranked 31st in the nation in face-off winning percentage
having won 58.3 percent (162 of 278) face-offs this season. Hirsch
had a school record 145 ground balls this season in 16 matches.
The Greyhounds were 40th in face-off winning percentage at 54.3
percent (182 of 335).
Moravian finished the year at 2-14 overall and 2-8 in its final
season in the Middle Atlantic Conference.
