MORAVIAN WOMEN’S LACROSSE TEAM HONORED
BY INTERCOLLEGIATE WOMEN’S LACROSSE
COACHES’ ASSOCIATION FOR ACADEMICS
TOWSON, MD --- The 2007 Moravian College women’s lacrosse
team has been named a 2007 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse
Coaches’ Association Academic Honor Team.
The IWLCA Academic Honor Team award is open to any women’s
lacrosse program that has a cumulative team grade point average
of 3.00 or above (on a 4.00 scale) for the entire academic year.
A total of 96 schools were honored with the top three in each division
honored as Merit Squads.
Moravian was one of 41NCAA Division III women’s teams to
win the IWLCA Academic Honor Team award, and one of four from the
Landmark Conference which the Greyhounds will join as a founding
member in 2007-08. The Catholic University of America, Drew University
and Goucher College also achieved team accolades.
Moravian begins its 2008 season on Wednesday, March 12th in a
non-conference home match versus rival Muhlenberg College.
