SEVEN MORAVIAN FOOTBALL PLAYERS, TEAM RANKED IN NCAA DIVISION III STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College football team has seven student-athletes ranked in the NCAA Division III statistical rankings through games of September 9th, and the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 50 in 11 team categories.

Junior quarterback Marc Braxmeier (Center Valley, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS), pictured at right, is third in the nation in pass efficiency with a 229.4 rating while junior linebackers Andrew Morrissey (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus HS) and Kevin McGorry (Whitehall, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) are tied for third in forced fumbles at 1.0 per game.  Junior running back Tyler McCambridge (Northampton, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS), pictured below at left, is 31st in the country in rushing yardage with 199 yards, and he is 41st in kickoff returns at 26.3 yard per return.

Junior kicker Brian Reckenbeil (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville HS), pictured at bottom right, is tied for 30th in the country in field goals per game at 1.0 while junior punter Michael Voskian (Brielle, NJ/Manasquan HS) is 31st with an average of 40.1 yards per punt.  Freshman wide receiver Alex Hersch (Macungie, PA/Emmaus HS) is tied for 45th in kickoff returns at 25.3 yards per return.

Moravian is tied for first in the nation in turnovers lost, passes had intercepted and fumbles lost at zero, fourth in pass efficiency at 222.26, fifth in punt returns at 22.0 yards per return, tied for 25th in turnover margin at +2.5, 29th in scoring offense at 38.5 points per game, tied for 34th in passes intercepted at 3.0, tied for 37th in fumbles recovered at 2.0, tied for 37th in turnovers gained at 5.0 and tied for 47th in kickoff returns at 23.0 yards per return.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, September 15th in a non-conference game versus Lebanon Valley College.  Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m. at Rocco Calvo Field.
