MORAVIAN’S CAITLIN CORRIGAN HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE WOMEN’S SOCCER
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Junior goalie Caitlin Corrigan (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge HS) of the Moravian College women’s soccer team has been named the Landmark Conference Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for her performance last week.

Corrigan, who was also the Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Week last week and on September 4th, had a pair of shutouts last week to become Moravian's all-time leader in career shutouts with 23 in her career.  Corrigan had two saves in a 0-0 tie at Lebanon Valley College in a match called in the 81st minute due to lightning.  Corrigan then passed Wendy Morgans' record of 22 career shutouts set from 1995-97 in the first three varsity sport with a 2-0 shutout at Susquehanna University.  Corrigan did not have to make a save against the Crusaders.

For the season, Corrigan has a 0.48 goals-against average, 46 saves, eight shutouts and a 12-2-1 record in 1,306 minutes of action.

Moravian, which is 12-2-1 overall, is scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, October 16th in a Landmark Conference match at The University of Scranton beginning at 7:00 p.m.
