MORAVIAN’S CAITLIN CORRIGAN HONORED AS
LANDMARK CONFERENCE WOMEN’S SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Junior goalie Caitlin Corrigan (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge HS) of the Moravian College women’s soccer team has been named the Landmark Conference Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for her performance last week.

Corrigan, who has been the Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Week four times this season, helped Moravian to a 1-1 record last week, including the team's second straight shutout win in Landmark Conference action.  Corrigan had eight saves to start the week in a 2-0 loss at Eastern University.  She then had two saves for her tenth shutout of the season, blanking Drew University, 2-0, in the final match of the regular season.

For the season, Corrigan has a 0.59 goals-against average, 69 saves, ten shutouts and a 14-4-1 record in 1,666 minutes of action.  Corrigan extended her school record for career shutouts to 25 and she has ten shutouts in a season twice in her career.

Moravian, which is 14-4-1 overall, is scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, October 31st in a Landmark Conference Semifinal match versus The Catholic University of America beginning at 3:00 p.m. on the HUB Quad.
