MORAVIAN’S TYLER McCAMBRIDGE, BRIAN RECKENBEIL & CARL ROBINSON NAMED TO
ESPN The Magazine ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT TEAMS

BETHLEHEM, PA --- Juniors running back Tyler McCambridge (Northampton, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS), kicker Brian Reckenbeil (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville HS) and defensive back Carl Robinson (Boothwyn, PA/Garnet Valley HS) have been named to the 2007 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District II College Division Football Second Team selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

To be eligible for ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America® accolades, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 grade-point average, be a sophomore, junior or senior and be a starter or significant reserve. The College Division is made up of all the NCAA Division II and III schools in the nation as well as all NAIA schools.  Student-athletes from NCAA Division I schools are named to the University Division Teams.  District II is made up of schools from Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

McCambridge, who was on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Second Team last season, has gained 428 yards on 99 carries this season with one touchdown and a long run of 27 yards despite missing two full games and parts of two others with injuries in 2007.  McCambridge, pictured at right, also became the 19th Greyhound to reach 1,000 career yards rushing on September 8th and has 1,265 yards on 283 carries with eight touchdowns.  McCambridge is majoring in biology.

Reckenbeil, who was a member of the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Second Team last year, is averaging 6.8 points per game, and he is 28 of 28 on extra-points and 11-of-19 on field goals with a long of 37 yards.  Reckenbeil, pictured at left, became just the third kicker in Moravian history to reach 100 career points on September 8th and set the all-time school record for scoring by a kicker on September 29th.  Reckenbeil is first all-time with 153 career points on 69 extra-points (second all-time) and 28 field goals (first all-time).  Reckenbeil needs five extra-points to set the school record, and has made 37 straight extra-points dating back to the 2006 season.  He also made the first 28 extra-point attempts of his career.  Reckenbeil’s 61 points in 2007 are a school record.  Reckenbeil is majoring in biology.

Robinson, pictured at right, has contributed 43 tackles, five interceptions, including four in a span of three games for the Greyhounds, and a forced fumble.  Robinson is one of Moravian’s four team captains this season.  Robinson is majoring in mathematics and secondary education.

Moravian, which is 6-3 overall and 4-3 in its first season in the Centennial Conference closes out the 2007 season on Saturday, November 10th with a 1:00 p.m. kickoff at rival Muhlenberg College in Centennial Conference action at Scotty Wood Stadium in Allentown.
