MORAVIAN’S BRANDON PALMISSANO HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Sophomore pitcher Brandon Palmissano (Mountainhome, PA/Pius X HS) of the Moravian College baseball team has been named the Landmark Conference Pitcher of the Week for his performance last week.

Palmissano earned a victory and a save in his two appearances last week in Moravian's 4-1 week in Cocoa Beach, Florida.  For the week, Palmissano was 1-0 with a save, a 2.08 ERA, six hits, one walk, two runs, just one earned, and six strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings of action.

Palmissano tossed 2 2/3 innings of relief to earn his first victory of the year in the Greyhounds' 8-7 win over Wilkes University.  He allowed two runs, just one earned, on five hits and three strikeouts.  Palmissano then tossed 1 2/3 innings of relief to earn his first collegiate save in an 11-9 win over Baruch (NY) University in the second game of a doubleheader.  He allowed just one hit while striking out three batters for the save.  During the two appearances, Palmissano also had one assist in the field.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, March 12th in a non-conference game at Albright College beginning at 3:30 p.m.
