MORAVIAN’S CHANDLER FORMAN NAMED LANDMARK CONFERENCE MEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Sophomore Chandler Forman (Plymouth, MA/Plymouth HS) of the Moravian College men’s tennis team has been named the Landmark Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for his performance last week.

Forman was 2-1 in both singles and doubles action as the Greyhounds opened the 2008 spring season with a trio of matches in Florida.  Forman, playing third singles and second doubles, dropped both his singles and doubles contests in a 9-0 loss to NAIA nationally ranked Aquinas (MI) College.  He then had a 6-0, 6-2 singles with and a doubles victory with partner freshman Thomas Turcich (Haddon Township, NJ/Haddon Township HS) in a 6-3 win over Ferrum (VA) College.

In Moravian's final match against NCAA Division II Michigan Technological University, which was tied 3-3 when rain ended the match; Forman had helped earn two of the Greyhounds' three points with a 6-1, 6-4 victory in singles action and an 8-5 doubles victory with Turcich.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, March 12th in a non-conference match at rival Muhlenberg College beginning at 4:30 p.m.
