THREE GREYHOUNDS & MORAVIAN TEAM RANKED IN FINAL
2008 NCAA DIVISION III WOMEN’S BASKETBALL STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- Sophomores guard Jessica Foran (Annandale, NJ/Rutgers Prep HS) and forwards Alyssa Bisci (Easton, PA/Easton HS) and Kirsty Stearns (East Norwich, NY/Oyster Bay HS) along with the Moravian College women’s basketball team are ranked in free throw percentage in the final NCAA Division III statistics release of the 2007-08 season.

Stearns, pictured at right, finished the year ranked fourth in the country at 91.7 percent, and Stearns was 82 of 90 at the line having played in 26 games for the Greyhounds. 

Foran, who reached the minimum for percent of team games played midway through the season due to early season injuries, finished seventh in the nation in free throw percentage at 89.1 percent, having made 106 of 119 free throws this season.  Foran, pictured at left, missed five games at the start of the season and played in 22 of Moravian’s 27 games this season.

Bisci, pictured at bottom right, was tied for 13th in the nation in the final rankings in free throw percentage at 87.1 percent, and she made 88 of 101 free throws in 23 games this season, having missed four games with an injury early in the year. 

Moravian finished the year ranked eighth in free throw percentage this season at 76.1 percent, making 502 of 660 free throw attempts.  The Greyhounds made 46 more free throws than their opponents have attempted this season.

The Greyhounds finished the 2007-08 season at 16-11 overall and were 9-5 in Landmark Conference action.  Moravian participated in the postseason for the seventh straight year, playing in both the Landmark Conference Tournament and Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Division III Southern Championships.
