MORAVIAN’S LINDSEY HOPPER NAMED LANDMARK CONFERENCE WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Senior Lindsey Hopper (Middlesex, NJ/Middlesex HS) of the Moravian College women’s tennis team has been named the Landmark Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for her performance last week.

Hopper, pictured at right, posted an undefeated week in singles and doubles action as the Greyhounds won both Landmark Conference matches last week to clinch the top seed in the 2008 conference tournament.  Hopper won both her singles matches in straight sets at first singles, and she also teamed with junior Dyana Swan (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville HS) for a pair of victories at first doubles. Hopper is now 8-7 on the season in singles action and 3-4 at first singles.  She and Swan are 5-4 in doubles including 4-3 at first doubles.

Moravian, which is 7-5 overall and 5-0 in Landmark Conference action, is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, April 19th in a Landmark Conference match at the Juniata College beginning at 12:00 p.m.
