MORAVIAN’S ALAN WOODS NAMED ECAC DIVISION III CO-MEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

CAPE COD, MA --- Junior pole vaulter Alan Woods (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cedar Cliff HS)of the Moravian College men’s outdoor track & field team has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Men’s Co-Field Athlete of the Week for his performance last weekend at the non-scoring The College of New Jersey Invitational.

Woods won the pole vault at the TCNJ Invitational, clearing a school record and an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying height of 4.70 meters (15 feet, five inches). Woods broke C.J. Brown's previous school mark of 15 feet that was set almost 13 years ago.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Friday, April 18th and Saturday, April 19th as the team hosts the Greyhound Invitational at Rocco Calvo Field and Timothy Breidegam Track.
