MORAVIAN’S CHRISTOPHER MORRISON NAMED TO LANDMARK BASEBALL ALL-CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM

MADISON, N.J. --- Sophomore pitcher Christopher Morrison (Middlesex, NJ/Immaculata HS) of the Moravian College baseball team has been named to the 2008 Landmark All-Conference Second Team as released by the conference office.

Moravian posted a 17-21 record this spring under second-year head coach Paul Engelhardt, and the Greyhounds were 9-9 in the inaugural Landmark Conference season.

Morrison posted a 5-3 record this season with a 3.64 earned run average.  He started eight of his nine appearances on the season, and Morrison had three complete games while logging 42 innings of work, second on the team.  Morrison did have a team high 30 strikeouts to go along with 18 walks, 40 hits, 28 runs and 17 earned runs allowed this spring.

Morrison has an 8-6 career record with a 3.66 ERA, a shutout and 64 strikeouts in 86 innings in his two seasons with the Greyhounds.
