MORAVIAN’S CHRIS EARLEY HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE MEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Senior forward Chris Earley (Brielle, NJ/Manasquan HS) of the Moravian College men’s basketball team has been named the Landmark Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for his performance last week.

Earley, who was also the Landmark Conference Player of the Week back on December 3rd, led the Greyhounds to a 2-0 record last week in a pair of Landmark Conference victories, keeping Moravian undefeated at home this season at 7-0.  He averaged a double-double at 17.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. 

Earley had his third double-double of the season in a 67-63 over The Catholic University of America with 18 points and 11 rebounds, which tied his career high.  He also had a career best five blocked shots to go with three steals and two assists. Earley then had another double-double in a 96-82 victory over Goucher College.  He connected for 17 points and grabbed a career high 12 rebounds to go with four assists.

For the week, Earley was 15 of 25 (60 percent) from the field, two of four behind the three-point line and three of four at the foul line to go with six assists, five blocked shots, three steals and just six turnovers while playing 59 minutes.

Moravian, 12-4 overall and 3-2 in Landmark Conference action, will return to the court on Saturday, January 26th in a Landmark Conference contest at Drew University tipping off at 7:30 p.m. in Madison, New Jersey.
