MORAVIAN’S BLAIR MAGINNIS HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE MEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Junior thrower Blair Maginnis (Asbury, NJ/Warren Hills Regional HS) of the Moravian College men’s indoor track & field team has been named the Landmark Conference Men’s Field Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Maginnis, who was the Landmark Conference Field Athlete of the Week last week and on January 21st, placed fifth in both the shot put and the 35-pound weight throw as Moravian competed at the non-scoring Cornell University Invitational.  Maginnis qualified for the 2008 ECAC Division III Championships in the shot put with a toss of 14.42 meters (47 feet, 3 3/4 inches), and he recorded a distance of 14.44 meters (47 feet, 4 1/2 inches) in the weight throw.

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Friday, February 15th at the Lafayette College/Rider University Armory Invitational to be held at the Armory Track and Field Center in New York, New York.
