MORAVIAN’S SYDNI WISNIEWSKI HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE WOMEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Freshman sprinter/jumper Sydni Wisniewski (Orlando, FL/Winter Park HS) of the Moravian College women’s indoor track & field team has been named the Landmark Conference Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Wisniewski, who was also the Landmark Conference Track Athlete of the Week on January 21st, competed in four events with three top eight finishes to lead Moravian at the non-scoring Cornell University Invitational.  Wisniewski was sixth in the 400-meter dash in a school record and ECAC qualifying time of 59.36 seconds, and she also placed sixth in the 60-meter dash in 8.16 seconds.  In field events, Wisniewski was tied for eighth in the high jump, clearing 1.50 meters (four feet, 11 inches) and 15th in the long jump in an ECAC qualifying leap of 5.06 meters (16 feet, 7 1/4 inches).

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Friday, February 15th at the Lafayette College/Rider University Armory Invitational to be held at the Armory Track and Field Center in New York, New York.
