THREE GREYHOUNDS & MORAVIAN TEAM RANKED IN NCAA DIVISION III WOMEN’S BASKETBALL STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- Sophomores guard Jessica Foran (Annandale, NJ/Rutgers Prep HS) and forwards Alyssa Bisci (Easton, PA/Easton HS) and Kirsty Stearns (East Norwich, NY/Oyster Bay HS) along with the Moravian College women’s basketball team are ranked in free throw percentage in the seventh NCAA Division III statistics release of the 2007-08 season including games through February 10th.

Foran, who reached the minimum for percent of team games played last weekend, is currently third in the nation in free throw percentage at 91.9 percent, having made 79 of 86 free throws this season.  Foran, who is pictured at right and missed five games early in the season with an injury, has played in just 17 of Moravian’s 22 games this season.

Stearns, pictured at left, is ranked ninth in the country at 90.3 percent for the season, and Stearns is 65 of 72 at the line in 20 games.  Bisci, pictured at bottom right, is currently 12th in the nation in free throw percentage at 88.9 percent, and she has made 72 of 81 free throws in 18 games this season, having missed four games with an injury. 

Moravian is ranked seventh in free throw percentage this season at 75.4 percent, making 393 of 521 free throw attempts.  The Greyhounds have made 33 more free throws than their opponents have attempted this season.

The Greyhounds, who are 14-8 overall and 7-4 in Landmark Conference action, will return to the court on Saturday, February 16th in a Landmark Conference game at Goucher College tipping off at 5:30 p.m. in Baltimore.  Moravian can clinch a berth in the Landmark Conference Tournament with a victory.
