MORAVIAN’S SYDNI WISNIEWSKI & ANNA HEIM HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE
WOMEN’S TRACK & FIELD ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Freshman sprinter/jumper Sydni Wisniewski (Orlando, FL/Winter Park HS) of the Moravian College women’s indoor track & field team has been named the Landmark Conference Women’s Track Athlete of the Week while sophomore pole vaulter Anna Heim (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown HS) was honored as the Landmark Conference Field Athlete of the Week for their performances last week.

Wisniewski, who was also the Landmark Conference Track Athlete of the Week last week and on January 21st, was one of Moravian's top individuals at the Lafayette Rider Winter Games at the New York City Track & Field Armory after taking tenth in the 60-meter dash in an Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference qualifying time of 8.06 seconds. The Greyhounds had one school record broken at the meet with Wisniewski taking nearly a full second off of her time in the 400-meter dash, finishing 11th in an NCAA Division III provisional and ECAC qualifying time of 58.39 seconds.  Wisniewski also placed 11th in the 200-meter dash in an ECAC qualifying time of 25.96 seconds and she tied for 13th in the long jump with an ECAC qualifying distance of 5.10 meters (16 feet, 8 3/4 inches).

Heim, pictured at left, had the Greyhounds' top individual finish at the Lafayette Rider Winter Games, placing second in the pole vault with an NCAA Division III automatic and ECAC qualifying height of 3.75 meters (12 feet, 3 1/2 inches).

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, February 23rd in the inaugural Landmark Conference Indoor Championships being hosted by Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove.
