MEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM MOVES UP TO SEVENTH IN MID-ATLANTIC REGION

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College men's basketball team has moved up one spot to seventh in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the second NCAA Division III Regional Rankings released on Wednesday for games through February 17th.

The Greyhounds, who are 18-6 overall, are 17-6 in regional games, the main criteria for the regional rankings. Moravian's only non-regional game of the year was a season opening 82-73 win at Emmanuel College in Boston. The Greyhounds also have an opponents' winning percentage of 45.6 percent and an opponents' opponent winning percentage of 50.1 percent, the other two criteria used by the ranking committee.

Ursinus College is ranked first in the Mid-Atlantic Region, followed by Gettysburg College, Widener University, DeSales University, York College of Pennsylvania, Messiah College, Moravian and Lycoming College. The Greyhounds, who are 9-4 in Landmark Conference action, will return to the court on Saturday, February 23rd in a Landmark Conference game versus The University of Scranton, tipping off at 7:30 p.m. in Johnston Hall to close out the 2007-08 regular season.  Moravian can clinch the top seed in the Landmark Conference Tournament with a victory and a win by Juniata College over Susquehanna University. The Greyhounds, Juniata and Susquehanna are currently tied for first in the Landmark Conference while Scranton has clinched the fourth playoff berth.
