MORAVIAN ADDS TWO NEW ASSISTANT COACHES TO FOOTBALL STAFF

BETHLEHEM, PA --- The Moravian College football program has added a pair of new assistant coaches for the 2008 season with Jeremy McCullough and Nick Pinchek joining head coach Scot Dapp’s staff.

McCullough graduated from Duquesne University in 2007 and was a four-year letterwinner for the Dukes. He is also a graduate of Liberty High School where he was a First Team All-District football player and was All-State in track.  McCullough will coach the Greyhounds’ defensive backs.

Pinchek comes to the Greyhounds after graduating this past spring from Penn State University, where he was a four-year letterwinner on the Nittany Lion football team and participated in three bowl games. Pinchek is also a graduate of Parkland High School and was a member of Parkland's 2002 PIAA State Championship Team.  Pinchek will coach the Moravian running backs.

Dapp is entering his 22nd year on the Moravian sidelines with an overall record of 127-88-1.  He is the winningest football coach in school history and has led the Greyhounds to two NCAA playoff appearances and three ECAC bowl berths.  Dapp is the offensive coordinator and will also coach the tight ends and wide receivers.

Rounding out coach Dapp’s staff in 2008 will be assistant head coach, defensive coordinator and outside linebacker coach Jeff Pukszyn, who is in his 12th year on the staff, offensive line coach Sal DeWalt in his third season, offensive assistant Gary Martell in his 32nd year as a Greyhound coach, quarterback coach Tim McGorry in his second season, kicker and punter coach Fran Meagher in his eighth year on the staff, linebacker coach Jim Newhard in his fifth season, defensive line coach Phil Polony in this third year and assistant offensive line coach Nick Sacco in his second season with Moravian.  Pukszyn, DeWalt and Sacco each played for Dapp at Moravian while Polony is also a graduate of Duquesne University and played with McCullough.

The Greyhounds will begin their 2008 season on Saturday, September 6th in a non-conference home game versus Susquehanna University kicking off at 1:00 p.m. at Rocco Calvo Field in Bethlehem.
