MORAVIAN’S MAURA ACOX RANKED IN NCAA FIELD HOCKEY STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- Moravian College sophomore goalie Maura Acox (Old Bridge, NJ/St. John Vianney HS) is ranked in the third NCAA Division III Field Hockey statistics release of the 2008 season released Wednesday.

Acox, this week’s Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Week, is 26th in the nation in saves per game with 9.83, and she is 35th in save percentage at .831 with 59 saves in 71 shots faces in six matches.

Moravian is ranked 29th in the nation in save percentage at .831, and the team is 33rd in the country in saves per game at 9.83 per contest.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Wednesday, September 24th in a non-conference match at rival Muhlenberg College at Scotty Wood Stadium beginning at 7:30 p.m.
