FOUR MORAVIAN FOOTBALL PLAYERS RANKED IN NCAA DIVISION III STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College football team has four student-athletes ranked in the third NCAA Division III statistical rankings of 2008 through games of September 21st, and the Greyhounds are ranked in the top 50 in nine team categories.

Senior running back Tyler McCambridge (Northampton, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) is 35th in rushing with 115.0 yards per game and tied for 20th in scoring at 12.0 points per contest.

Senior kicker Brian Reckenbeil (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville HS) is tied for 47th in the country in field goals per game at 0.67 while senior running back Tyler deRouen (West Milford, NJ/West Milford HS) is 55th in rushing with an average of 99.3 yards per game. 

Senior defensive lineman Doug Bocchino (Madison, NJ/Madison HS) is tied for 15th in sacks with 1.50 per game and tied for 43rd in tackles for loss with 2.00 per contest. 

Moravian is seventh in the nation in rushing offense at 295.7 yards per game, and the team is 34th in pass efficiency defense at 89.39.  The Greyhounds are also ninth in sacks at 4.0 per game, 25th in total defense at 226.0 yards per contest, 20th in turnover margin at +2.33, 26th in scoring defense at 11.0 points per game, 42nd in pass defense, allowing just 134.7 yards per game, 50th in total offense at 406.7 yards per outing and tied for 34th in sacks allowed at 1.0 per game.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, September 27th in a Centennial Conference game versus Johns Hopkins University.  Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m. at Rocco Calvo Field in Bethlehem.
