LANCASTER, PA --- The Moravian College football team has had ten players named to the 2008 All-Centennial Conference Football Teams announced Monday with senior offensive lineman Timothy McBride (Egg Harbor Township, NJ/Egg Harbor Township HS), senior kicker Brian Reckenbeil (Branchburg, NJ/Somerville HS), senior defensive end Douglas Bocchino (Madison, NJ/Madison HS), senior linebacker Andrew Morrissey (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus HS) and senior defensive back Carl Robinson (Boothwyn, PA/Carney Valley HS) earning first team honors.

The Greyhounds had four All-Centennial Conference Second Team honorees with senior running back Tyler McCambridge (Northampton, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) and junior offensive lineman Andrew Grando (Whiting, NJ/Manchester Township HS) making the offensive squad, and senior linebacker Kevin McGorry (Whitehall, PA/Allentown Central Catholic HS) and senior punter Michael Voskian (Brielle, NJ/Manasquan HS) on the defensive squad.  Senior defensive lineman Don Maxwell (Berkley Heights, NJ/Governor Livingston HS) earned All-Centennial Conference Honorable Mention.

Moravian is currently 8-2 on the season and will host Salisbury University in the 2008 ECAC Division III Southwest Bowl Championship game on Saturday, November 22nd at Rocco Calvo Field in Bethlehem with kickoff slated for noon.  The Greyhounds were tied for second in the Centennial Conference with a 6-2 mark, and Moravian had been selected fifth in the preseason poll in its second year as a member of the conference.

McBride, pictured at top right, and Grando, pictured at left, have helped the Moravian offense average 340.1 yards of offense per game this season including 203.4 yards per game on the ground.  The duo also helped the Greyhounds control the ball for an average of 32:10 each game while scoring 30 offensive touchdowns, 22 rushing and eight passing.  Moravian’s offensive line has allowed just 16 sacks this season.  McBride has been a starter for the last three seasons for the Greyhounds, playing right guard this season while Grando is in his second season as a starter at left tackle.

Reckenbeil, pictured at right, has continued to rewrite the Moravian record books with the best season as a kicker in school history, setting the school mark with 67 points on 28-of-28 extra-points and 13-of-19 field goals with a school record and career long of 47 yards.  Reckenbeil is the all-time leading scorer at Moravian among all players with 221 career points, and he has made 98 extra-points and 41 field goals in four seasons.  Reckenbeil, who was on the All-Centennial Conference Second Team a year ago, has set the conference record with 57 straight extra-points over the last two seasons, and he has made 66 straight dating back to September 2006.

Bocchino, pictured at left, leads the Greyhound defensive front with 58 tackles, eight and a half sacks, 11 and a half tackles for loss, five forced fumbles, three pass break-ups, an interception and a fumble recovery.  His five forced fumbles lead the conference, and he is second in the Centennial Conference in sacks and third in tackles for loss.  Bocchino was also on the All-Centennial Conference Second Team last fall and is in his second year as a starting defensive end for the Greyhounds.

Morrissey, pictured at right and a four-year starter at linebacker for the Greyhounds, leads Moravian's defense with 87 tackles, five and a half tackles for loss, a sack, a pass break-up, an interception with a 13-yard return versus Muhlenberg College and four forced fumbles, two of which came in Moravian’s 27-24 overtime upset win over Muhlenberg.  Morrissey, who was on the All-Centennial Conference Second Team last year, is currently eighth in school history with 320 tackles.

Robinson, pictured at left, leads the Moravian defense for the second straight year with five interceptions.  Robinson, who was a member of the All-Centennial Conference Honorable Mention last fall, has made 60 tackles to go along with a sack, three tackles for loss, a total of 12 passes defended including the five interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.  Robinson has 14 career interceptions for Moravian and has started the last three seasons as a safety for Moravian.

McCambridge, who has missed two of the last three games with an injury, has a team high 812 yards and nine touchdowns on 138 carries that included a career long run of 79 yards at Gettysburg College, the fifth longest run in school history.  McCambridge, pictured at right, is currently seventh in school history with 2,132 career rushing yards and fifth in career rushing attempts with 444.  McCambridge, who has 18 career rushing touchdowns, needs just 46 yards to move into sixth all-time, and he has caught the second longest touchdown pass in school history this season covering 80 yards against Johns Hopkins University.

McGorry, pictured at left, is tied with Morrissey to lead the Moravian defense and the linebackers with 87 tackles on the season.  McGorry, who was in his third season as a starter, has added four and a half tackles for loss, one sack, two fumble recoveries, a pass break-up and a blocked field goal against Susquehanna University.

Voskian, pictured at right, is averaging 38.7 yards per punt on 42 attempts with a career long of 56 yards versus Ursinus College.  Voskian, who set the school record for a single game with an average of 42.3 yards per punt against Johns Hopkins, has had five punts fair caught, six inside the 20-yard line, five touchbacks and one blocked.  Voskian is just 117 yards shy of 5,000 for his career, and he has been Moravian’s punter for the last three seasons.

Maxwell, who was a member of the All-Centennial Conference Second Team last fall, has 36 tackles, five tackles for loss, one and a half sacks, four pass break-ups, two fumble recoveries including an eight-yard touchdown at McDaniel College and a blocked field goal in the third overtime at Juniata College.  Maxwell, pictured at left, is in his second season as a starter, and he missed the game at Gettysburg College this past October with an injury.
