MORAVIAN’S ERIC WOODRUFF & BLAIR MAGINNIS NAMED LANDMARK CONFERENCE
MEN’S TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Sophomore sprinter/jumper Eric Woodruff (Brodheadsville, PA/Pius X HS) of the Moravian College men’s outdoor track & field team has been named the Landmark Conference Men’s Track Athlete of the Week while senior thrower Blair Maginnis (Asbury, NJ/Warren Hills HS) has been honored as the Landmark Conference Men’s Field Athlete of the Week for their performances last week.

Woodruff, pictured at right, won a pair of sprint races at the non-scoring Muhlenberg College Invitational.  He won the 100-meter dash in a hand held time of 10.5 second and 200-meter dash in a hand held time of 22.4 seconds while finishing sixth in the long jump with a leap of 6.22 meters (20 feet, five inches).  Woodruff also ran the anchor leg on Moravian's winning 4x100-meter relay team that had a hand held time of 42.5 seconds.

Maginnis, pictured at left, won the shot put at the Muhlenberg Invitational with an ECAC qualifying toss of 14.66 meters (48 feet, 1 ¼ inches).  Maginnis’ other two events, the hammer throw and the discus were both cancelled due to the weather.

Moravian will return to action on Saturday, April 10th at the Bucknell University Bison Classic and on Saturday, April 11th at The College of New Jersey Lion Invitational.
