MORAVIAN’S FLORA ROBERTSON HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE WOMEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Junior thrower Flora Robertson (Hawley, PA/East Stroudsburg North HS) of the Moravian College women’s out track & field team has been named the Landmark Conference Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Robertson won the hammer throw with a toss of 41.94 meters (137 feet, seven inches) to help Moravian to a third place finish among 13 teams at the 2009 New Jersey Invitational hosted by The College of New Jersey.  Robertson was also tenth in the discus at 27.95 meters (91 feet, eight inches).

Moravian will return to action on Friday and Saturday, April 17th and 18th when the team hosts the Greyhound Invitational at Rocco Calvo Field and Timothy Breidegam Track.
