GREYHOUNDS RANKED 2nd IN FIRST NCAA DIVISION III SOFTBALL REGIONAL POLL OF 2008 SEASON

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College softball team is ranked second in the East Region in the first NCAA Division III Regional Rankings released Wednesday.

The Greyhounds, who had an in-region record of 21-5 at the time of the poll, which is what the poll is mainly based on, trail Rowan University and are ahead of William Paterson University, Lebanon Valley College, Ramapo College of New Jersey, DeSales University, The College of New Jersey and Messiah College.  Moravian is 2-1 against Lebanon Valley this season, and the Greyhounds have two wins over DeSales and one versus The College of New Jersey.

The Greyhounds, who are 24-8 overall, are slated to return to action on Thursday, April 16th in a non-conference doubleheader at Ramapo, which is currently ranked 21st in the nation in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Top 25 Poll, in Mahwah, New Jersey beginning at 3:00 p.m.
