MORAVIAN’S ANNA HEIM NAMED LANDMARK CONFERENCE WOMEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Junior pole vaulter Anna Heim (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown HS) of the Moravian College women’s out track & field team has been named the Landmark Conference Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.

Heim won the pole vault with an NCAA Division III automatic, an ECAC qualifying and meet record height of 3.87 meters (12 feet, 8 1/4 inches) to have Moravian's only individual champion at the non-scoring Greyhound Invitational at Timothy Breidegam Track and Rocco Calvo Field.  Heim's height bettered her previous meet record and tied her own school record set at the 2008 ECAC Championships.

Heim will return to action on Thursday, April 23rd at the Penn Relays in the pole vault competition.  Moravian will return to action as a team on Saturday and Sunday, April 25th and 26th in the 2009 Landmark Conference Championships being hosted by Goucher College.
