MORAVIAN’S KERRY McKINLEY HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Sophomore Kerry McKinley (Sparta, NJ/Pope John XXIII HS) of the Moravian College women’s tennis team has been honored as the Landmark Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for her performance last week.

McKinley had a perfect week in singles and doubles action while helping Moravian finish the regular season at 12-5 overall and a perfect 6-0 in Landmark Conference action for the second straight year.  McKinley won two singles matches at fourth singles to improve her record to 18-4 on the year, just one victory shy of the school record of 19.  McKinley also won a pair of doubles contests at third doubles with partner senior MaryKate Kelly (Beach haven, NJ/Southern Regional HS).

Moravian will return to action on Wednesday, April 29th as the top seed in the 2009 Landmark Conference Tournament as the Greyhounds host The University of Scranton in a Landmark Conference semifinal match at Hoffman Courts in Bethlehem beginning at 3:30 p.m.
