TWO GREYHOUNDS, MORAVIAN TEAM RANKED IN NCAA DIVISION III WOMEN’S BASKETBALL STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- Juniors guard Jessica Foran (Annandale, NJ/Rutgers Prep HS) and forward Alyssa Bisci (Easton, PA/Easton HS) and the Moravian College women’s basketball team are ranked in the second NCAA Division III statistics release of the 2008-09 season including games through January 4th.

Foran , pictured at right, is seventh in the nation in free throw percentage at 94.7 percent for the season, and she is 54 of 57 at the line in ten games.  Bisci is 24th in the country in free throw percentage at 90.1 percent having made 64 of 71 free throw attempts.

Moravian is ranked second in the nation in free throw percentage this season at 79.4 percent, making 204 of 257 free throw attempts.  The Greyhounds are tied for 20th in won-loss percentage at 90.0 percent and 48th in scoring offense at 72.8 points per game.

The Greyhounds, who are now 10-1overall and 1-0 in Landmark Conference action, will return to the court on Friday, January 9th in a Landmark Conference game versus Juniata College tipping off at 5:30 p.m. in Johnston Hall.  Moravian has won eight straight games and is currently ranked 18th in the nation in both the USA Today/ESPN Division III Coaches and D3hoops.com Top 25 polls.
