THREE GREYHOUNDS, MORAVIAN TEAM RANKED IN NCAA DIVISION III WOMEN’S BASKETBALL STATISTICS
Greyhounds Lead Nation in Free Throw Percentage

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- Three members of the Moravian College women’s basketball team and the Greyhound squad are ranked in the eighth NCAA Division III statistics release of the 2008-09 season including games through February 22nd.

Junior forward Alyssa Bisci (Easton, PA/Easton HS) is ranked third in the country in free throw percentage at 91.2 percent having made 117 of 129 free throw attempts in 24 games.  Bisci, pictured at right, had made a school record 50 straight free throws from December 12th to January 25th. 

Junior guard Jessica Foran (Annandale, NJ/Rutgers Prep HS), pictured at left, is 13th in the nation in free throw percentage at 88.3 percent for the season, and she is 83 of 95 at the line in 24 games. 

Sophomore guard/forward Amy Heffner (Schnecksville, PA/Parkland HS), pictured at bottom right, is 24th in the country in free throw percentage at 87.1 percent, having made 63 of 74 free throw attempts in the 23 games she has played in.

Moravian remained top team in the nation in free throw percentage this season for the sixth straight week at 80.1 percent, making 506 of 632 free throw attempts, the made free throws being the top number in the country.  The Greyhounds are 23rd in scoring offense at 74.1 points per game, tied for 40th in won-loss percentage at 83.0 percent and 38th in blocked shots with 4.4 per contest.

The Greyhounds, who are 20-5 overall and finished 10-4 in the Landmark Conference regular season, face Juniata College in a Landmark Conference Semifinal game in Johnston Hall on Wednesday, February 25th at 7:00 p.m.
