MORAVIAN’S MAURA ACOX RANKED IN NCAA FIELD HOCKEY STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- Moravian College junior goalie Maura Acox (Old Bridge, NJ/St. John Vianney HS) is ranked in the third NCAA Division III Field Hockey statistics release of the 2009 season.

Acox is tied for 48th in goals-against average at 1.54.  Acox has allowed 13 goals in 590 minutes of action, and she has 38 saves to go with three shutouts and a 4-4 record.

Moravian is tied for 47th in the nation in shutouts per game with an average of 0.30.

The Greyhounds, who are 4-7 on the season, will return to action on Saturday, October 3rd in a Landmark Conference match at Juniata College beginning at 1:00 p.m.
