MORAVIAN’S CARSON & BISCI NAMED TO LANDMARK FIELD HOCKEY ALL-CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM
MADISON, NJ --- Seniors forward Kayla Carson (Leesport, PA/Wyomissing HS) and midfielder Julie Bisci (Phillipsburg, NJ/Phillipsburg HS) of the Moravian College field hockey team have been to the 2009 Landmark All-Conference Field Hockey Second Team announced Tuesday.
The duo helped the Greyhounds to a 7-11 record this fall including a 2-4 record in Landmark Conference action. Of Moravian’s 11 losses, three were by one goal including two in overtime.
Carson, who was on the Landmark All-Conference Second Team in 2007 and 2008, led Moravian in scoring with nine goals and an assist for 19 points in 17 matches. Carson, pictured at right, had four game-winning goals this fall, and she completed her career with 25 career goals, which ranks sixth in school history, and she has added 11 assists, which is ninth, for a total of 61 points, which is fifth in the Moravian record books.
Bisci, who was a member of the Landmark All-Conference Second Team last year, was second on the squad in scoring this fall with five goals and an assist for 11 points, and she had one game-winning goal. Bisci, pictured at left, contributed ten goals and seven assists for 27 points in her four-year career at Moravian.
