MORAVIAN WOMEN’S TRACK & FIELD TEAM UP TO 15TH IN USTFCCCA NCAA DIVISION III NATIONAL TEAM RANKINGS

NEW ORLEANS, LA --- The Moravian College women’s track & field team moved up 15 spots to 15th in the nation in the eighth NCAA Division III National Team Rankings of the 2010 season released by the U S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Tuesday.

The Greyhound women have a total of 38.44 points and are the top team from the Mideast Region in the rankings.  Wartburg College is the top ranked team in the country with 153.30 points while MIT is second with 114.84 points.

Moravian will have three competitors, senior Anna Heim (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown HS) in the pole vault, senior Symonne Scott (Attleboro, MA/Attleboro HS) in the long jump and freshman Micah Leonard (York, PA/William Penn HS) in both the long and triple jumps, at the 2010 NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships being hosted by DePauw University on Friday, March 12th and Saturday, March 13th.
