MORAVIAN’S JENNA CARMON HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Sophomore pitcher Jenna Carmon (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central HS) of the Moravian College softball team has been named the Landmark Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance last week.

Carmon provided lots of offense for Moravian as the team posted a 3-1 record over the week.  In a Landmark sweep of USMMA she went 4-for-8 at the plate, including a 3-for-4 performance in the second game in which she was a single short of the cycle as she produced a grand slam, a triple and a double.  For the week, Carmon hit .458 with four runs scored and six RBI.  She also allowed only two earned runs in 19 1/3 innings of work in the circle.

The Greyhounds, who are 17-7 overall, 4-0 in Landmark Conference action and is tied for 22nd in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Top 25 Poll, are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, April 13th in a non-conference doubleheader at Lebanon Valley College beginning at 3:00 p.m.
