TWO GREYHOUNDS, TEAM RANKED IN NCAA DIVISION III BASEBALL STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- Senior pitchers Chris Morrison (Middlesex, NJ/Immaculata HS) and Joe Melchionna (Marlboro, NJ/St. John Vianney) of the Moravian College baseball team, and the Greyhound squad are ranked in the sixth NCAA Division III statistics release of the 2010 season including games through April 18th.

Morrison, pictured at right, is currently has a 2.63 ERA which is good enough for being tied for 68th in the nation while he is also ranked 94th in hits allowed per nine innings with an average of 7.88.

Melchionna, pictured at left, is 72nd in the nation in walks allowed per nine innings by only giving up 1.72.

The Greyhounds are ranked 24th in the nation in hits allowed per nine innings with an average of 9.08 hits.  They are ranked 34th in the nation in stolen bases per game with an average of 2.37 steals a contest and are also tied for 44th in stolen bases with 64 on the year. 

The Greyhounds, who are 17-11 on the season, are scheduled to return to action on Saturday April 24th in a Landmark Conference doubleheader vs. Drew University beginning at 1 p.m.
