MORAVIAN’S JENNA CARMON HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Sophomore pitcher Jenna Carmon (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central HS) of the Moravian College softball team has been named the Landmark Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance last week.

Carmon earned three wins while pitching in four games for Moravian as the Greyhounds picked up four Landmark wins. She tossed 21 innings over the week, allowing only four runs, three earned, for a 1.00 ERA. She did not allow more than five hits in any of the four appearances, and struck out 13 while walking just four in the 21 innings. At the plate, Carmon hit .385 with five hits in 13 at-bats with five runs scored and a double. Carmon had two putouts and five assists in the field.

The Greyhounds, who are 25-9 overall and 10-0 in Landmark Conference action are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, April 27th in a non-conference doubleheader vs. DeSales University starting at 3:00 p.m. at Blue and Grey Field.
