THREE GREYHOUNDS, TEAM RANKED IN NCAA DIVISION III SOFTBALL STATISTICS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- Three players from the Moravian College softball team, and the Greyhound squad are ranked in the second NCAA Division III statistics release of the 2010 season including games through April 25th.

Sophomore pitcher/infielder Jenna Carmon (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central HS), pictured at top right, is ranked in six categories including being 15th in the country in walks per seven innings at 0.85.  Carmon is also tied for 10th in wins with 18, tied for 53rd in shutouts with four, 37th in hits allowed per game at 5.56, 34th in ERA in 1.42 and tied for 27th in saves with two.

Freshman outfielder/shortstop Katie Gross (Allentown, PA/Parkland HS), pictured at left, is ranked third in the nation in sacrifice hits per game at 0.5.

Freshmen first baseman Amanda Dizinno (Budd Lake, NJ/Mount Olive), pictured at bottom right, is currently tied for 68th in RBIs per game at 1.03 and is also tied for 87th in toughest to strike out in the nation.

The Greyhounds, who are 26-10 on the season, are 12th in the nation in ERA at 1.44.  Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Saturday, May 1st in a Landmark Conference doubleheader at Susquehanna University beginning at 1:00 p.m.
