MORAVIAN’S CARMAN & WISE NAMED TO WOMEN’S LACROSSE LANDMARK ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM

            MADISON, N.J. --- Junior midfielder Sarah Carman (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge HS) and senior midfielder Katie Wise (Ardsley, PA/Abington HS) of the Moravian College women’s lacrosse team have been named to the 2010 Landmark All-Conference Second Team as released by the conference office.
            Moravian had a 5-11 record this season, and the Greyhounds dropped one match by a goal and two others by four or fewer goals.
            Carman, who was named to the All-Conference Second Team for a second straight year, was second on the team in scoring with 38 points on 35 goals and three assists.  She also led the team with 43 draw controls while contributing 44 ground balls and 20 caused turnovers.  In her career, Carman, pictured at right, has 81 goals and 11 assists for 92 points in 47 contests, and she has added 154 ground balls, 107 draw controls and 56 caused turnovers.
            Wise, pictured at left, had 19 goals and seven assists this spring for 26 points, and she led Moravian with 65 ground balls and 29 caused turnovers while adding 41 draw controls.  In her career, Wise had 47 goals and 14 assists for 61 points in 63 matches, which included starting 15 as goalie during her freshman year.  Wise set the school career record for ground balls with 192 and added 104 draw controls and 64 caused turnovers.
