MORAVIAN’S ERIC WOODRUFF & TRAVIS KING HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE
MEN’S TRACK & FIELD ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
MADISON, NJ --- Junior sprinter Eric Woodruff (Brodheadsville, PA/Pius X HS) of the Moravian College men’s indoor track & field team has been named the Landmark Conference Men’s Track Athlete of the Week while freshman jumper/sprinter Travis King (Wilmington, DE/Concord HS) earned Landmark Conference Men’s Field Athlete of the Week honors for their performances at the non-scoring Orange & Maroon Classic last week.
Woodruff, pictured at right, led the Greyhounds with a pair of individual championships at the meet. Woodruff won the 55-meter dash in an ECAC qualifying time of 6.60 seconds and the 200-meter dash in another ECAC qualifying time of 22.46 seconds. He was also part of Moravian's winning 4x200-meter relay squad that had an ECAC qualifying time of 1:33.68.
King, pictured at left, won the triple jump with an ECAC qualifying distance of 13.85 meters (45 feet, 5 1/4 inches), and he placed tenth in the long jump at 6.02 meters (19 feet, nine inches). King also ran in the 55-meter dash, placing 30th in 7.16 seconds.
The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, January 30th at the Thomson Invitational hosted by the University of Delaware.
