GREYHOUNDS LEAD REGION IN FIRST NCAA DIVISION III REGIONAL RANKING OF 2009-10 SEASON

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College women’s basketball team is ranked first in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the first NCAA Division III Regional Rankings released publicly Wednesday.

The Greyhounds, who are 18-2 overall and have a 9-0 mark in Landmark Conference action, are 17-2 in regional action, the main basis for the rankings.  Moravian has played several regionally ranked teams this season, defeating fourth ranked The University of Scranton, 73-63, and falling to fifth ranked Muhlenberg College, 84-71.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Friday, February 5th in a Landmark Conference game at The Catholic University of America beginning at 5:30 p.m. in Washington, D.C.
