MORAVIAN’S TIMOTHY LAYNG HONORED AS LANDMARK CONFERENCE MEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

MADISON, NJ --- Sophomore pole vaulter Timothy Layng (Canton, PA/Canton HS) of the Moravian College men’s indoor track & field team has been named the Landmark Conference Men’s Field Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Layng placed fifth in the pole vault at the Lafayette College-Rider University Winter Games at the New York City Armory at a school record and NCAA Division III provisional qualifying height of 4.65 meters (15 feet, three inches). Layng's height also meets the ECAC qualifying standard.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Friday, February 19th at the Keogh Invitational hosted by Haverford College.
