GREYHOUNDS SLIP TO SECOND IN MID-ATLANTIC REGION IN NCAA DIVISION III REGIONAL RANKINGS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Moravian College women’s basketball team slipped to second in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the third NCAA Division III Regional Rankings released publicly Wednesday.

The Greyhounds, who are 21-2 overall and have a 12-0 mark in Landmark Conference action, were 20-2 in regional action when the voting was done, the main basis for the rankings.  Moravian had been first in the region in the first two polls of the year before being passed this week when Lebanon Valley College, 21-1 in region, moved ahead of the Greyhounds after the Flying Dutchmen beat third-ranked Messiah College for the second time this year.

Moravian has played several regionally ranked teams this season, defeating fifth-ranked The University of Scranton, 73-63, and falling to fourth-ranked Muhlenberg College, 84-71.

The Greyhounds will return to action on Wednesday, February 17th in a Landmark Conference road game at The Catholic University of America beginning at 5:30 p.m. in Washington, D.C.
